Wonderful Week
Spring semester officially ended! And I just feel so relieved. This week has been wonderful. scratch that. It has been the best five days of my life, mainly because I was productive but I still managed to have a lot of fun with the best people!
Monday: Ate lunch at Max's of Manila (Dilingham branch) with the Tita Pia and the rest of the class. Joyce, Monica and I carpooled with Kaiser going there, while the rest carpooled with either Karl or Teddy. The restaurant was empty when we got there. We were the only people there! It was nice though because we had the luxury of making a lot of noise without the thought of bothering others. haha. We were really loud. Our word of the day was: "isubo." Ang laswa! haha. Mylene and Ate Mary later joined us. We ordered almost everything on the menu! Filipino food is just really good! I ate a lot. As in I tasted everything! I felt like a pig. It was like we were in a fiesta or something. There was kare-kare, inihaw na liempo, their famous deep-fried chicken and more. We weren't surprise that the bill totalled to $200+! It was worth it though. After our late lunch at Max's, Joyce, Mylene, Ate Mary and I headed to Ala Moana Centre. We didn't really buy anything (as far as I remember); we just took pictures because we felt like tourists. haha). We then headed home as rain poured really hard. *Oh yeah, the apple earphones (you know, the original one? hehe) that I ordered from ebay arrived. Yey*
Tuesday: I went to Tita Betchie's FIL302 class. They had a potluck and watched Tanging Ina 3 (I think). I then headed to COM330 class after. It was supposed to be a review session for our upcoming final exam (which is on Thursday), but nothing really happened. It was a waste of time going to the said class. Haha. When I got home, I checked the mailbox and et viola, the osis hair wax that I ordered from ebay (yes, ebay is addicting) arrived. It was so fast!!!! I only ordered it last Thursday morning and I got it within 2 business days!
Wednesday: Had a class picture for FIL202. Tita Betchie brought donuts. Gawd, I miss eating donuts. I miss Mister Donuts. haha. Anyway, it was Tita's last day as a lecturer at UH. She must have been emotional (at least that's what I'd feel if I taught classes in an institution for many years). I will surely miss her:( I then headed to Ala Moana Centre and perused for a mother's day gift for mum. I got her another pefume from a French brand. I liked it. But I don't know if she'll like it. haha.
Thursday: No school! I stayed at home and took my com320 exam online. It was raining hard so I feared electricity would shut down. But thankfully, it didn't happen. The exam was kind of hard. But I got my partial score, and I think I did pretty well:-)
Friday: I needed to be at school by 8am because we editors (Nik, Karl, Joyce, Monica, and Mo) needed to work on the magazine. But as usual, late entrance ang drama. haha. I managed to write two articles (AFAP and dramafest). We didn't get to actually finish the magazine (lay out, articles, editors note etcetera) because we got distracted from facebook and all the silliness. haha. I was also able to sell my books for a total of $80, which was not bad. Monica and I left early because we needed to get ready pa for the banquet.
I didn't go home straight though; I made a quick stop at Ala Moana Centre to have the batteries of my Philip Stein watch replaced. But the worker who does the job was not present at Ben Bridge. So instead, I went to Lacoste and bought myself a perfume (there goes my the money from the books I sold). haha.
I got home at around 4pm. I had one hour to get ready for the banquet: I showered, styled my hair and went straight to the Hotel. My dad drove me there. I didn't know where the ballroom was, but fortunately I saw Monica, her boyfriend, and Ate Jenn. When we got to the ballroom, we were surprised that there weren't many people. Early entrance ang drama. haha. Nik was already there though. At first, the banquet was boring. But when other friends arrived, naging fun na. We danced and took pictures througout the night. It was nice to see old friends (like Jonas, Kathleen et al.) Eri's exact sentiment: "Sana, palaging ganito."
Saturday (today): Went out with Mylene at Kapiolani Park to watch the Filipino Fiesta. It was boring. But we saw artista's from GMA-7 (Dennis Trillo and Izza Calzado). Di kami nagpa-picture sa kanila (but Dennis shook my hand). Hindi naman kasi kami Jologs. haha
It has been a fun week. Sana maulit muli. haha.
