Hot day essentials
I live in Honolulu, and it's scorching hot every single day. But thankfully, I discovered these products to protect and keep me fresh, and fair from the unfriendly rays of sun:
Cap: Honestly, I don't really like wearing caps. They don't look that great on me. As a matter of fact, this is the only one that I own. But it's a good accessory to protect my head when I know that I'm gonna under the sun the whole day (also good to wear on bad hair days). I got this particular cap from a Ralph Lauren outlet store back in 2006 (I remember vividly that I got it when Joana was still living here in HNL) for a really good price. Although I'm not fond of caps, this is my favourite. I don't see myself buying another one in the future.
Sunblock: I'm a sunblock advocate. If there's a skincare product I'd repurchase over and over, it'd be sunblock! It's the best anti-ageing product there is in the market (and probably the best product to prevent skin cancer). I apply it allover my skin every single day regardless of the weather! I'm currently using Shiseido Anessa Perfect UV SPF 50 PA+++. It's from Japan (and apparently, ranked as the best in the aforementioned country). It's not my favourite as it doesn't have a matte finish. But it does a good job protecting my skin.
Sunglasses: to protect my eyes I guess. Yun lang. haha. The one pictured is called "Skat" from Ksubi (it's an Australian brand). When I saw David Beckham, Rain, Anne Curtis and a bunch of other artistas sporting this, I knew I had to have one. I love the shape. It's so retro. But unfortunately, the quality is not the greatest. I'll be blunt. I paid $185 (I think) but it's not worth it. It feels really cheap. I wish I bought something else nalang.
Face towel: no brainer. to wipe sweat. Period. haha. Got this little towel from a Japanese boutique called Q-Pot in Ala Moana. It's so soft:-)

Face mist: Not really an essential. I find this product frivolous. But because I read that David Celdran uses a facial mist (my idol!), I got one. haha. When I feel hot, I spray this allover my face and I instantly feel fresh.
