Fruit of my Labour
When I was in college, I told myself that I'd spend my very first pay check on something memorable - something that'll always remind me of how hard I had to work in order to get it. From the start, I knew it had to be a luxury watch because it's something that I'd really use everyday and possibly pass on to my future children. And when it comes to watches, one thing comes to my mind: Cartier. For me, no one does a better job in making good quality watches than Cartier.
After I graduated last May, I expected to be a bum (haha) for at least a couple of months. It was, and it still is a given fact that the job market is just too saturated. It was hard to look for a descent job. Fortunately, I got an offer from a renowned company for an entry level position last August (coincidentally, I got hired on my birthday). And as they say, the rest is history. That dream of getting myself that watch came true when I got my first pay check.
I initially wanted a Santos Galbee, but when I tried it on, I felt obnoxious; it was a little too much for me. Plus, it was more expensive (way out of my price range). So I decided to settle for something more down to earth: theTank Solo with the alligator strap. It's Simple, elegant, iconic, but not over the top. I love it!
Next on my to-buy list is the love ring in white gold. More than anything, it's the story that fascinates me. I'd love to own one in the future. Maybe in December. hehe
