Day in the life

November 5, 2012

Usually wake up at 6:45am. Not fond of waking up that early, but I have to. When I was in college, I usually woke up at around 10am (because I mostly had afternoon classes). Miss those days. When I started working last August, I felt like I was in high school again. hehe.

Immediately after rolling out of bed, I go straight to the bathroom. I do the usual regimen: brush my teeth, shower, style my hair, and wash my face. This is embarrassing but I spend more than 20 minutes in the bathroom. Okay, I'm vain. So what? hehe. The photo below shows the products that I'm currently using. I'm not very picky when it comes to shampoo. I just use anything that I see. The rest, they're something I consider investments. For me, a good facial cleanser is really important, as well as a conditioner. That's why as much as possible, I try to find the best.

Of course, after spending a significant amount of time in the bathroom, I change into work my work clothes. I also style my hair (I currently use Uno By Shiseido that I got in Korea) and put on a uv lotion (this morning, I used Nivea also Japan). I also spend a lot of time grooming myself. Haha. Then I eat breakfast. Breakfast is a must or else I'll have a headache. This morning, I ate rice and corned beef.  Yum.

I commute going to work. I don't really mind because I'm used to it. But the public transportation system here in Hawaii sucks big time. Lots of weirdos too. It usually takes about an hour to get to work (if it's not traffic). I usually sleep during that one hour period. Hehe

Before heading to work, I usually stop by Barnes and Nobles. I don't really do anything special. I just go there because I want to kill time. Sometimes, if I find a book that interests me, I read it. But most of the time, I just go to the magazine section. The books below are childhood favourites. I really want to buy them because I want to build a classic library. I loved buying books as a child. I don't know what happened. Maybe I just don't have the time anymore.

I report to work at exactly 9:30am. We usually have meetings in the morning. Meetings are actually interesting.

My responsibility at work varies, but today, I dealt with spreadsheets and numbers - lots of numbers. I seriously had an eye strain. I wanted to buy a visine or something after as my eyes were so red. I thought to myself, good thing I'm not an accountant or mathematician or someone who deals with manyyyyy numbers.

Today, I ate lunch at around 2pm with a colleague in the food court. I bring a baon from home because at least I know it's cleaner and much "healthier" (even though it's not really). I'm really tired of eating take-outs. So it's nice to have something that's home-cooked.

I finish work at 6pm. My dad picks me up so I don't have to commute. I always look forward to going home. Haha. In college, I used to go out everytime my last class finished. Some of those classes finished at 6pm too, but I still had the energy to gallivant. That's not the case anymore because I'm always tired coming from work. I'm not complaining though.

Once I get home, I just try to relax. I do that by surfing the net and eating a hearty dinner (Earlier, I had meatloaf, which wasn't the greatest but still made my stomach happy). Before I call it a night, I wash my face with a whitening soap (because I like to be pale) and say a little prayer. Sometimes, like to watch or read something light (nothing serious) until my eyes get tired.
