Part Deux

I won't be as detailed here because my second day at Hong Kong was a blur. It was a busy day. We went to so many places that I can't recall everywhere we went. Pretty helpful that we had ate Cheryl who acted as our tour guide, otherwise we would have gotten lost. :D

Anyway, we took PAL (again!). The flight was supposed to be only two hours, but it became three hours due to the foggy weather (or something like that). My first impression upon landing: First world! Haha. No longer in Manila, I told myself. It's such an advanced and developed place. The people, albeit not as hospitable as Filipinos, are disciplined. Walang pasaway! No wonder everything is so orderly!

Yours truly at the NAIA T2. It was an early flight - around 10 in the morning pero looking haggard na despite having substantial sleep. Pero okay lang. :D
Saw the Going Bulilit Kids. I think they were heading to Japan :-) I secretly wanted to have my picture taken with them (there was so much opportunity haha). But I didn't wanna creep the kiddos. Tsaka ang jologs kaya. Kidding.
With Mama and Matet. It's our first time travelling together. I was so happy! It was a dream of mine to treat mama and I was finally able to do so. She is the woman who raised me, and I love her so much! :-)
Hello HKIA! One of the busiest airports in the world. Lots of places to eat and shop that it's a tourist destination on its own.

I was so excited about having an Octopus! This was used as a method of payment mainly for public transportion. Generally, public transportation is so efficient in Hong Kong. It's touted as the best in the world! I wish Hawaii had something like this. Unfortunately, takot ata sila sa innovation. Haha

At the Double Decker Bus on the way to Causeway Bay where we would be staying.
Early dinner from Pepper Lunch at Hysan Place. Yummy! Maraming kababayan dito. And it was so nice to hear Tagalog in foreign land :-)

Yours truly exploring Hysan Place. Relatively a new place. It was grand, like most malls in Asia. However, na confuse ako sa layout kasi ang hirap hanapin ang escalator at lift (uy, British). Didn't really get anything except a Chanel Le Blanc UV Base from. . .duh, Chanel. Haha
Another selfie. Haha. I felt like I was in Tokyo :D

This was in Sogo at the Kura Chica section where I bought a Porter bag. Haha. Everything in Hong Kong was so expensive that I didn't actually get to shop as much as I wanted to. But I got myself a little souvenir :-)

I have a lot of photo's taken at Peak Tram but it's all the same so eto nalang. haha. It was a bad timing to go sighseeing as it was too foggy and it was raining pa. Super cold din! I underestimated the weather forecast! I wish I brought a scarf, gloves, and a warm head hear. Wahhhh.

One of the places I was really keen on going was at the IFC mall. IFC mall was so posh - lots of people working in finance (duh) dressed so nice. Reminded me of where I work here in Honolulu. Haha. Anyway, my mission was to get macarons from Pierre Herme. And I did! They were about to close but luckily, I managed to get two boxes of these:

Every shop was already closing so we didn't really get to shop. Haha. Pero okay lang, super mahal din kasi sa IFC!

We headed to the nearby McDonalds after. I actually eat McDonalds whenever I'm out of the US because I find the foreign counterparts, ironically, much safer.

We rode the tram to get to our hotel after our light meal at Mcdonalds :-)

After a longgggg day, we finally rested at the hotel. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Causeway Bay because it was the most reasonably priced hotel that I saw. It wasn't a luxury hotel so I didn't expect much (I was keen on booking at the Four Seasons but pobre ako. Haha). Service was okay though. And the rooms were large. It was literally located at Time Square so it was nice! Lane Crawford was my neighbor :P
