Aloha Friday

I thought I'd be leaving Honolulu once I finished my education. I was eager to move back home to the Philippines or even to continental US to conquer the corporate field. But obviously, things didn't go as envisioned by my 18-year-old self. Instead, I ended up staying all these years. And you know what, I'm  glad I did!

Majority of my peers in University have left; they're either continuing their graduate/professional degrees or climbing the career ladder back in their home state/countries. I could have had that option though--to leave, but I opted to stay simply because I learned to *gulp* love it here (can't believe I just said that!).

I had and I still have animosities about Honolulu, but it's the "Aloha Spirit" that made me fall in love. I must admit, I prefer the the fast phased lifestyle like back home in Manila, Manhattan, and in Hong Kong. And of course, I still desire of living in one of the cities mentioned in the future. As of now however, I'm here to stay.

Taken at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, A luxury Collection Resort. Simply beautiful!
