Sunday

Went to church this morning, and didn't realize na Palm Sunday na next week. Wow. Ang bilis ng oras. Anyway, during homily, there was an anecdote that really interested me. It was about a husband and a wife who wanted to spend a night in a small hotel, but unfortunately, there was no room available left. The concierge however couldn't stomach them to leave the night without having a place to stay, so he offered his room to the couple. The husband said that the concierge should be the one managing the hotel and not just a mere concierge. A few years later, the husband bought a hotel, and he invited the concierge to be its manager. And as they say, the rest is history. The moral is essentially showing genuine kindness to others without expecting anything in return. And oh, this concierge turned hotelier is the first manager of Waldorf Astoria. Amazing, isn't? :-)

After church (and lunch), Matet and I went to the mall because it has been a while since we went there. LIES. Haha. Anyway, we didn't really have anything specific in mind. We just wanted to peruse. But thanks to our lucky stars, we got some amazing deals from Bananna Republic and American Apparel. Ah, American Apparel. I'm a big fan of their slim fit trousers and button up shirts (I've been a fan since college), and I was surprised to to know that they had selected merchandise for 90% off! I find their prices a little higher than other labels (maybe because they're all proudly made in the US) so it was a good opportunity to stock up on the basics. Unfortunately, there was not much left, but I was able to manage to get a few (as well as from their online store when I got home. hehe) :-)

Here are the things I got online.
