Day off, part une
Pretty much a nonchalant day.
I woke up at around 9 in the morning, and immediately grabbed my macbook air by my bedside table and logged on to YouTube. I watched a lot of videos half of the day on my bed and I felt really bad because I wasn't being productive. I could have gone out but the person I wanted to hang out with was busy. Haha. Anyway, I discovered a few channels, hence the hours spent glued onto the laptop screen.
Because I felt bad doing practically nothing in my room for hours, I wanted to see some sunshine outside. And since I was already out, I checked the mailbox and unexpectedly got a package from Saki san. A bunch of Muji goodies. So happy:D
At around 4, Matet came to the hous-y. We were going to go to Target in Kapolei but decided to wait for Nanang until she arrives from the office at 6. So we killed time by going to a nearby thrift shop for fun. Going to thrift shops could really be fun and exciting especially when you find "treasures". . .like this one that I found:
It's a vertical stripe Ralph Lauren Black Label button up in the most amazing shade of pink! A few months ago, I attended a workshop about dressing professionally and according to the world renowned presenter, a pink button up, specifically from Ralph Lauren, is something that every guy should own in their closet. And from then on, it has always been in the back of my head to scout for the said shirt. And today, I finally found it! I was so excited! Best of all, I got it for $7.99. The price for a black label shirt is $375 - and I'll never spend that much! I was deliriously happy :D Matet mean while got a beaded Escada shirt for $5.99. I gotta tell you, thrift shopping is fun! I found a few things that are just too unreal. Think of a well made Dior Homme Shirt, a Loewe silk tie, and a Celine pouch. As they say, a man's trash is another man's treasure.
Anyway, we didn't really stay long We headed back home shortly after and off we went to Kapolei. First stop, TJ Max. We didn't realised that it's practically next to Target. We entered the store and it seemed really empty. They have a nice selection of home furnishings and Matet got a little crazy. I on the other hand bought a new bedding sheet. This one was from Cynthia Rowley. I like it a lot because it reminds me of my oxford shirts that I wear on a daily basis. Very preppy. Hehe.
After a brief spree at TJ Max, we went to Target na. Ahh, Target. I love Target! Definitely has a better selection of merchandise than Walmart! I usually get crazy when I go to Target, but I controled myself this time buying only the essentials. Target stocks my favourite brand of Yogurt so I bought a few. I also got an ice cream from Haagen Daz mainly because of it's name. Parang cuss word sa tagalog. Haha. Lastly, an impulse buy: a 12oz Thermos with the Batman insignia. I thought the size was cute and something I could conveniently store in my bag. But ang mahal huh! Huhu.
When we got home from the store, I felt like cooking, so I decided to concoct my specialty: fried rice. I have to say, it was good!
That was the end of my day off part une. Haha. Tomorrow, I plan to go to the Satellite Hall to renew my permit. I think I'll also be going to Costco with Matet and Jonathan. More pigging I must say.
