The 23rd

Haven't been blogging because of Lolo's recent passing this month. But I shall continue to jot things down here because I want like to look back one day and say gosh, it was an amazing day ;)

I was off today, and I was pretty much running around town in a cab. Getting into a cab truly is more costly but it's far a lot more convenient that driving or taking the bus! Woke up quite early to go to Barney's with the intention to return the a few things I got from Black Friday (yes, it has almost been a month, but they have a 30-day return policy so yay!). But I ended up exchanging them to a beautiful pair of Alaia oxfords. There goes my Amex :D I'm happy nevertheless.

Went home for a bit right after to freshen up before heading to the hospital to visit uncle Gusting and as I was about to leave again, FedEx delivary man was outside of the flat with a package from Thomas Pink London waiting for me! Ahh, I was so excited. Didn't have time to open it at home so I brought along with me to the hospital.

The nurses and doctors were probably like who is this dude (in Lanvin sunglasses) holding a humongous box from FedEx? :D

I opened the package inside Uncle's room and disappointingly, the shirt's a little to loose fitting for my taste. It was indeed a classic fit and not a slim one. I wanted to return it but Thomas Pink doesn't offer free returns - this means, I'd probably have to pay at least $20 to have it shipped back to the UK? I was like, whatever, I'll keep it. My mum likes it although my uncle thinks it makes me look a little bigger! Ah, God bless him! Love his humour despite his  condition :)

I was probably in the hospital for nearly two hours just eating and watching T.V. Observed what nurses do and props to them! I'm the typical professional who stares at the computer more than 8 hours a day trying to generate revenue for the company that I work for; whilst they're there making a difference into the lives of many! I considered getting a degree in nurse because I'm innately caring (naks!), but conditioned my head at such an early age that I'd rather be clad in corporate dress code than scrubs.

Anyway, I pray and hope that Uncle will get well soon! Too bad he'll be spending Christmas there :(

Caught the cab to get home. Matet and Dad were already there. Freshened up again before heading to the mall with Matet to do some last minute shopping. The mall wasn't as packed as I had imagined so that was nice. Pretty much only went to Bloomingdales, Banana Republic, Papyrus and Zara. Oh Zara, I love you! Haha!
It was around 8pm when my parents called. They wanted to eat dinner. Couldn't find a decent restaurant except Eggs N Things. Ahh, one of my favourites! I love how the atmosphere is so casual yet food is good - it rivals many fine dining outlets in Waikiki in terms of quality and service! Plus, if you're a resident, there's a 10 or 15% off discount. How amazing is that?!

I ordered an old favourite: Plantation Pork Phop. It's sooooo good. Though I think it's time to try something else next time. Haha. I wanted to try their hotcakes, but I was to stuffed! It was my parents' first time in there and they loved it. . .especially my dad! I can foretell we'll be back in no time :)

Before ultimately going home, we made a quick stop to City Lights. Nothing much has changed since I first went more than a decade ago. But the whole vicinity is so festive that you can't help but feel excited about Christmas. Plus, so much good looking peeps! Haha!

I'm finally home, about to catch up on Youtube. And as I'm typing this entry, holiday tunes are being emitted from my Bose soundlink mini!
