I knew I was up to something.

Fall of 2006, Dior Homme had this papillon on the runway. I wanted it even though I knew I wouldn't know where to wear it. But, I was a poor high school kid who had no income aside from my humble weekly allowances. Haha!

When I started earning my own money, I attempted to source it. Ebay, consignment stores. . .you name it. But no luck. Fast forward to Fall 2016, 10 years later. This showed up on the runway. It's not the same exact one that I was infatuated with, but it's good enough for me to want it badly! It's a runway piece so I thought there's no way I'd get my hands on it.

Before Matet and I headed to The Kahala for lunch yesterday, we stopped by Dior Homme. It was empty so I was reluctant to enter. I hate going to high-end boutiques because I don't want be judged. Haha. But Dior Homme, particularly in Waikiki has the most welcoming staff ever! I always get treated nicely although I've only bought a few items from them in the past! Anyway, my main reason was to check if they had a particular strap for my Chiffre Rouge. Unfortunately (or fortunately ahaha) they no longer have it in the US. Randomly, my conversation with Grace, the lovely sales associate, shifted to the bow tie. I asked if they had it in the boutique and they did! Not in the color I was lemming to buy, but she said she could order one for me! I was so excited that I wanted to hug her (but she was sick so she said it's fine).

I figured, it's the last "big" purchase I'll make this season. And I'm just so ecstatic. It's really not a practical purchase, but I know I need to have one to complete my life! Haha
