San Francisco Day 3
Again, I didn't have any itinerary for this day. But I had to see the Golden Gate bridge! I was compelled to. I mean, it's as iconic as the Eiffel tower in Paris and the Statue of Liberty in New York! Haha. So I woke up quite early (no breakfast aside from the complimentary tea from the hotel I took on the go), caught uber-pool (for something like 9 bucks!) and in no time, I was there. The timing was perfect as there was no crowd and the weather was perfect (though, I had to bring out my Alexander McQueen scarf because it got chilly). I think I was only there for 30 minutes then I took the bus to Japan town!
Japantown. What can I say? Well, I didn't see much because it eventually rained. I just stayed inside this mall that I can't recall and killed time. Discovered that there was a Kinokuniya inside which made me very excited. Though I didn't really buy anything.Totoro was outside so I had to take a photo. I later learned that photos are not prohibited. But oh well. LOL.
When the rain subsided, I explored the area a bit. This was at Fillmore Street. It's so charming!
After I got tired, I headed back to the downtown area. I took the bus and my feet brought me to the Four Seasons. Ahh, such a refine hotel. It felt like a property commonly found in the East Coast of Asia :D
Took a mirror shot before I left. HAHAHAHA. After my late lunch, I again walked around Union Square and Maiden Lane to see if there's anything else I'd like to purchase before I leave SF. And gosh, I saw a pair of Theory oxford shoes which was on sale but I felt like I didn't have to buy them. So I didn't yay. I ended up at Paul Smith though, chatted with a sales associate who happens to love Hawaii and got myself a pair of leather cream. I know. Weird. But hey, I take good care of my stuff :D
Because I was not satisfied with what I ate, I hunted for something more "comforting." Enter Ginto, which is located across from my hotel. It was a weeknight so it was practically empty. Haha
There was a ramen on the menu so no brainer, it's what I ordered. HOWEVER, I was told that it would only be served after 10pm. And I was like wutttt?????? Haha. I think it was only 6ish when I got there so it'd be a long wait. I was determined though order it. So I went back to my room. Killed time. And before I knew it, it was 10. Hooray. Off to Ginto! Braved the chilly night, and ahh, all the anticipation for this little bowl for $7. LOL
It was either this or the larger size. But since it was late at night, I didn't want to stuff myself too much. Haha. This was perfect and yummy too! Probably one of the best ramen bowls I've eaten outside of Japan! And it was nice chatting with the host who was originally from Hawaii! It's like I never left home :D
