The Weekend! Easter Weekend!
For the weekend, we decided to try something extraordinary by checking in at the relatively newly built Four Seasons hotel. Ah, What can I say? Pure luxury and service is the gold standard. *I suddenly missed working in operations even though it gave me a burnout. Haha.* No wonder they're touted as the number 1 hotel brand in the world.
I originally booked us a "mountain view room" but upon check in (we checked in at around 1 pm), but the room wasn't available yet. No big deal considering it we were at least two hours early and the front desk was a bit busy. But I asked if they had an "oceanfront view room." For a little bit more $$, we took the upgrade! And it was worth every penny.
After breakfast, Matet and I wandered around. Discovered this little heaven outside of the spa and couldn't help but have my photo taken. Haha.

The room (and the bathroom) was large and spacious that these photos don't do any justice. And the view...the view! Ahh! hearing the waves is so calming. We nestled on the 15th floor and we couldn't have asked for more.
As you can tell, we have no itinerary. It's all about walking and eating like tourists. Hahaha. Honestly, though, hotel food is way overpriced.
So for our first night, we opted to have our dinner outside. Eating House has a presence in Kapolei now so yay. Their menu is local fusion (if that even exists) which is very relevant to place like Hawaii because it's so diverse here. I loved their take on palabok in a form of gyoza. So yummy!
We however had to wait 30 minutes or so before we were seated because it was a full house. It's fine because we got time to kill. :D
Day 2, today, was pretty much the same as Day 1. More eating and walking. This time though, we explored the hotel property more.
Woke up seeing this. Happy Easter!
Then breakfast it is. I must say, Four Seasons has one of the best breakfast spreads I've seen!
The Front Office team was nice enough to accommodate my late check out request. But we ended up checking out at noon anyway. I didn't want to leave but good things have endings.
The last time we had a staycation was at the Moana Surf Rider last May 2016. It has been almost a year. Staycations can be a bit costly despite having a "kamaaina rate" but I think it's super worth it to splurge once in a while. After all, what's the point of saving too much if you can't enjoy life?
