Essenza Mini
I am not obsessed with coffee. I can surely live without it. But I like to drink a cup or two, once a week to keep me more energized. And the coffee that I drink is not from Starbucks. Haha. I may not indulge in coffee very often (or as often as others) but I am a coffee snub. And I don't ever apologize for it. Pretty much all my friends know this.
Fast forward to the day my family and I checked in at the Four Seasons. I wanted to order coffee via in-room dining. But the price was atrocious. The last time I got myself a cup of coffee at such an atrocious price was when I was lounging at the Peninsula New York during a blizzard. Anyway, because my cheap ears didn't want to pay a lot for a cup of coffee, I simply made it myself using a Nespresso machine. And it was a game changer! Now, I've always fancied this little thing. But I thought, since I don't drink coffee often anyway, it'd be a waste to buy one. But the more I researched about it, the more I became engrossed. I learned about the "Essenza Mini's" existence in the European market. And bingo. It was perfect as it was, well, mini. I have a fascination with miniature objects. Anyway...I really wanted one with the intention of having it on my bedside table (I guess to mimic the hotel vibe ahahahaha). But I learned that it was not available in the States. Sad, sad me.
I Pretty much went where Nespresso has a presence here. And the sales staff had no idea what I was talking about. At Williams-Sonoma however, they have a Nespresso Rep., and I was advised that it would come to the Stateside sometime in the summer. So I stalked both Williams-Sonoma website and Nespresso's. Ahh, the first week of July, it was already available at the Nespresso website! Ahh, Matet offered to get it for me as an early birthday gift, and I couldn't be any happier. I love this little thing!
