Fancy Schmancy

The summer sale is still going on. And there are just so many good deals out there. Here are two things that I have gotten over the past few weeks that I'm so really infatuated with. Haha.

The first one is this beautiful lacquered box. It's so "Town & Country" right? I don't know. It may just be my imagination. But whatever. Haha. I actually found it at a thrift. And there was a price tag of $248. Ahh, score! It's probably from Gumps in San Francisco because they sell a lot of these. Nevertheless, I love its quality and design. And the fact that it stores my everyday essentials (watch, keys, eye drops and little card etc.) discreetly. If you know me, I have an obsession with good quality boxes. I think they make such a good decoration. Not only are they stylish, they're also very functional in the most literal sense.
The second thing that got was this eye mask. But it's not just any eye mask, but one designed by Otis Batterbee. Okay, honestly, I didn't know who he was. But he designs things for the well-heeled and well traveled. Ah, the definition of fancy schmancy. Haha. I got this from Moda Operandi for an insanely good deal (considering they're originally $95 on full price). I have no business browsing the site of Moda Operandi but, hey, I'm glad I got this. I personally like to wear eye masks. I have several on my bed (including a Tsumori Chisato from a good friend. But the best ones are actually those that come in your amenity kits such as JAL). I will, however, save this when I travel because after all, it is designed for the well-heeled, and well-travelled. And in my fantasy world, I'd like to think that's me. Hahahaha
I have a lot more to show, but I'm honestly not too in love with them, including this grey Brooks Brothers wool cardigan - which I will return tomorrow :D
