When the connection is gone

I hung out with a bunch of people I used to be closed with last night because one of them was going away for graduate school in the mainland. It was really nice hanging with them. However, the connection we once had seemed to have vanished. I mean, things definitely aren't the same as it used to. And honestly, I'm perfectly okay with that because I'm now living in a different world...and they are in their own world likewise. Nevertheless, it was cool seeing them again after quite a while. And honestly, it may take a while again to see them again.
