Gifting

I'm still not fond of the holidays. But I get excited about wrapping gifts for my friends and family! Some say I'm a generous giver. I may be! On my part, it's not about getting anything for the sake of giving. It's really all about the thought. Will so and so like this? is my mantra. However, I do it without going over budget!

For my friends who pretty much have everything, I try to give them something fun...but useful. For example, a scented candle for their flats, or a passport holder.

For my family, I like to indulge them. I get them things that they wouldn't normally buy. My mom has a fascination for bags. But she doesn't buy them, I do! Haha. It's like a tradition now actually. I said this many times, but she has gone through a lot, and she deserves them as a treat. This year, I got her a Valentino rockstude tote in a shocking colour. It was on sale, and it was the only one in the store, so I guess it was meant to be. Plus, she was hinting that she wants this particular style anyway. I honestly didn't think I'd get one. But I did because it was such a steal. And I'm very happy :D

For everyone else, I give them chocolates, cookies, or anything sweet. These little boxes of Yoku Moku are the most festive out there. A little pricey in my opinion, but they're not overly expensive either.
