Had to see this film twice three times as it was so heart-warming. It's definitely an instant classic for me! Growing up is is indeed hard, and if I had the knowledge I have now (really makes me appreciate all the neuro and cognitive science elements I'm learning in developmental psychology class now) perhaps living that stage of life would not have been so convoluted hahaha.
I actually want to see it again and again and again! Ahh, after Devil Wears Prada, this is now a favourite! I can't get over how good this film is! I love everything about it--the casting, the setting, and the realism of the plot. Further, you don't have to be an LGBT in order to relate. I think anyone can relate not just to Simon, but to all the characters. If we're suppressing something in the inside, may this film give you the encouragement free yourself from that burden. This scene was perhaps was so moving that I couldn't help but shed a tear for the third time I saw it. You deserve everything you want. Ahh, I wish there will be more movies like this in the future, although, as I've said, I already consider as a classic.
P.S.
Wish my parents were as cool as Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel. This scene was just hilarious! My parents never really understood my teenage years. Sigh.
